Theresa (Terry) Finnegan graduated from the Columbia School of Engineering and then joined GE as an engineer. While at GE, she became one of the youngest ever to direct major engineering projects for the corporation - in fact it surprised many senior managers when 'Terry' turned out to be a woman! After GE, she joined Introspect, Inc and consulted with major companies including FedEx, United Airlines and Exxon Corporation. She left engineering to follow her love of math and teaching, having set up the Kumon Math and Reading Center in Trumbull, CT, in 1991. She has become well known in the community through both the grateful parents and the children she has helped over the 14 years she was involved.
It was a natural progression for Terry, from this background, into the mortgage broking industry where she found, amongst other things, that she could help many first time buyers to understand mortgages and to achieve their dreams of home ownership. After working for a local mortgage broker for several years, Terry decided that it was time to establish her own company. She is now, once again, actively involved in teaching the skills of the mortgage business to others, while working tirelessly to continue to help many buyers, with the complexities of the modern mortgage industry.
